well, i want to buy a new PC after a few months and the reason i am waiting is coz i await the release of the new AMD AM2 socket and intel conroe CPU's. I basically want to build a PC which is quite high tech and futureproof (for a year atleast)but not go overboard with certain components.

What i do want to know is if i want to put 2 x 19" LCDs side by side, can one GPU like maybe the Radeon X1900XTX handle it? or would it be better if i added a crossfire because i am not really a hardcore gamer, but i do enjoy my fair share of gaming.

well i used the X1900XTX only as an example because by then there will be a better GPU in the market which actually does support HDCP-HDMI!

other than that basically what i am looking for is something like this... i am open to ur suggestions...

PROCESSOR - intel conroe or amd socket am2
MOTHERBOARD - well, i guess i cant predict this now ... hahaha ...
RAM - ill probably get 2GB to start with and then upgrade to 4
GRAPHICS CARD - something current 6 months from now
SOUND CARD - creative X-FI Fatal1ty
PSU - atleast 650W
HDD - mebbe about 2 x 250 gb to begin with (arrival HD-DVD & Blu-ray)
DVD/BLU-RAY/HD-DVD ROM DRIVE
CASING - wait and watch ...
KEYBOARD - microsoft ergonomics split keyboard
MOUSE - logitech G7
WEBCAM - logitech quickcam sphere MP
LCD - well looking for 2 LCDs with full 1080P support
SPEAKER SYSTEM - creative gigaworks S750 7.1
UPS - ablerex blade
INTERNET ROUTER- not decided ...
TV TUNER CARD/CAPTURE CARD - ill just throw in one
WATER COOLED SYSTEM - will consider it if my budget allows it ...

Dear god why two 19" LCDs? not to mention that and 1080P support aren't happening together. How about 37" HDCP 1080P? So why do you care about HDMI so much? The HDCP DVI signals are identical. And given the cost of HDMI-to-DVI converters, and the amount of exist LCD panels that have DVI, HDMI on a video card is going to be VERY esoteric. And the only Fatal1ty you'll have is your budget my friend...Seasonic S12-600 is the Creme de la Creme of PSUs. And I can tell by your list that for what you'll be doing 4GB is outright overkill nuclear bomb on the anthill class.

Don't plan it yet, we don't know what AM2 will be like. If you're not buying yet then wait before planning it.
