Building a computer...

This is what I've got in my cart, ready to buy when I've got the money(soon)

TC3H-1017 :: nVidia GeForce2 GTS NV15 / 32MB DDR / 4X AGP / OEM / Video Card(Junker) - $26.99

TC3J-4006 :: Premium Blue 2522 Alien ATX Mid-Tower Case with Front USB and Audio Ports and 400-Watt Power Supply - $53.99

S458-1104 :: ECS N2U400-A nVidia Socket A ATX Motherboard / Audio / AGP 8x / Ethernet LAN / USB 2.0 - $67.99

CP1-SEM2300 C :: AMD Sempron 2300+ / 256KB Cache / 333MHz FSB / Socket A / Processor with Fan - $85.99

Total after shipping + tax = 298 Canadian.

Obviously a cheap machine...Everything I listed is compatible, I hope?

Do you have any suggestions? I'd like to keep the cost under 300$. None of the parts I've listed are of any importance to me, so if you think something should be changed, go for it.

Thanks. ^_^

EDIT : Oh, and I have a couple hard drives, CD Drives and 2x256 Infineon DDR SDRAM sticks, pc2100.

I won't be playing really any games. Other wise, I'd buy some random video card. ^_^

But for regular computer use, it should be lag free? How much should I be able to OC with stock fan?

Funky build. 😛
Should be adequate for word, email and internet browsing. Nothing beyond 2D games.
You should be able to get a fair OC out of it.

Yeah, the only programs I think I'd ever run are photoshop(mild use), Dream Weaver, Notepad🙂P), Firefox, and the basic im programs. Just want something that, unlike my old p3, won't lag when I right click.

If I can get some extra speed out of it without having to pay more, I see it as a win - win situation. ^_^

You also risk breaking something and that voids the warranty. You should be able to OC a bit with the stock fan anyway.

Good suggestion, probably what I would have done. 🙂

By the way, I have 2x256 pc2100 ram chips, but cpu-z said they could perform as pc2300. What does that mean? Overclocking ram?
