Hey all,
This is the first time I will be putting together a computer. I am planning to build with the combination mentioned below. IF there are, any possible issues please post to alert me to it. Any opinions or advice is also good. I plan to use this computer for gaming for at least the next 4-5 years.
Motherboard: ASUS Rampage 2 Extreme
RAM- 6 sticks of 2GB Corsair DDR3 1600mhz
GPU- 2 ASUS GTX 285 1GB
CPU- Core i7 950 3.06Ghz
Thermal Paste- OCZ Freeze
Heat Sink- Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
Power Supply- Corsair TX-850
Fan- Scythe S-FLEXSFF21G 1900RPM
Optical Drive- LG DVD Burner
Hard drives- 2X?s 640GB SATA 7200RPM Western Digital
Case- Cool Master HAF 932
OS- Windows Ultimate 64Bit until 7 comes out
Some possible issues you may comment on are the motherboard and GPUs not fitting into the case, etc. etc.
If possible, any advice on removing static, I have been told to plug the PSU into the mains and put it into the case but not to plug it into anything and continually touch the PSU or case to ground myself- I will have to build this on carpet so that may be a slight problem. Any advice on putting it together? If you could change something what would it be?
Thanks
Andrew L
