Hey,

I'll keep this as short as possible.

I just ordered a bunch of components off of newegg.com and will be receiving them in the next couple of days. However, I have been having trouble finding a recently updated guide to putting this together (this is my first time, as I'm sure you can tell).

So, I was wondering, could I just use a couple-year old guide and not run into many problems? Here's what I had in mind: part 1 and part 2.

Any other tips? I'm sure you guys hear this crap all the time, but I would really like for my first time to go as smoothly as possible.

Thanks in advance.

that guide was produced in Sept 2002....very little has changed since then in regards to actually putting a PC together. You should do fine..but if you run into any questions feel free to post them.

When I built my first computer, I used an article at pcmech .com as a guide. It's pretty basic. I did my first one a few months ago and I think you'll realize when you're done that it's not real difficult. Pay attention to directions on grease (if you use any) and also placing your heat sink correctly. Other than that, follow the directions that come with your mobo.

Wish me luck!
