Don't know too much about the 'cube'.
Disadvantage is that mobo is not universal. If manufacturer goes out of business, you can't get a replacement mobo.
If you plan to upgrade, you have to go back to manufacturer and that severely limits your options.
Not to sure about PSU, never heard of it.
Stick with other PC barebones. You will get better results, for sure

Correction, mobo is universal.

The qpack uses a standard mATX board, you provide your own board, so you can replace it at anytime.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811144109

URL for the silver X-QPack, which has the most reviews.

i'm using a shorty DVD-ROM in mine, for the time being, an old Sony.

if you upgrade the power supply, you have to watch out where the cables
exit the power supply & the length of the optical drive.

the case is 13.8" long.

a typical power supply - 5.5 inches long

the Sony DRU-810A - 6.75 inches long

the Pioneer DVR-110D - 7.09 inches long

the Samsung SATA optical drive which was hard to find a month ago
but might be available now -
SH-W163 - 7.24 inches long.

anyway, i suggest getting a shorter optical drive - like the Sony 810A -
in case you get dis-satisfied with the Aspire power supply.

hope that helps !

If you want to do any sort of overclocking, get either the biostar 6100 or the Jetway R480 based board. Biostar overclocks the best, Jetway is good to about 250 HTT, anything higher, you'll need to put in a nic card as the onboard takes a crap.

Lite-On is Sony's OEM for DVD burners. They are the same length as the sony's and generally a little cheaper.
