Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone could help me pick out a motherboard for this system. Also, is the ram I selected correct or is there another type I should get? I am looking to over clock the rig, so any suggestions on type of cooling would be appreciated as well.

CPU: AMD mobile Barton 2500+
HD: 160 WD 7200 HD (From Current System)
Ram: Corsair Value Select 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - OEM
Vid Card: SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9800 PRO Video Card, 128MB DDR, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP
DVDr: Pioneer A05 (From Current System)
DVD: Liteon 16x I believe (From Current System)
Mobo: Looking for a good overclocker preferably with onboard sound (but not a necessasity)

Thats what i was leaning towards. Is that ram ok? Or should i stay away from the ultra-cheap stuff?

its decent ram and all, but AMD systems crave low latency ram ie HyperX, mushkin level II, OCZ EL, etc...

unfortunately, ram prices are ridiculously high right now

Another vote for the NF7-S. The DFI Infinity is also a great high FSB overclocking board too.. :)

As for RAM, you'll probably need something a little bit better that can do tight timings like shady06 said.

My buffalo pc3200 ram does 2-3-3-7 timings at the stock 200fsb. The price is about the same but dang those prices are high. Just a little over a month ago that ram was right around $85. Prices are definately up!
