Hi,

I need to build a new PC for doing stuff for Multimedia mainly on 3D development, 3D games, stereoscopic 3D, video content development & etc. Here I want to get some advices from you guys.

1. I am planing to get a Core i7. Which socket should I chose? Socket 1156 or socket 1366? Which socket is more upgradeable / future-proof?

2. What motherboard model do you recommend?

3. For the task I am doing, which gaming graphic card should I get? ATI or NVIDIA? Does NVIDIA's physX really speed up the 3D rendering / improve the performance on 3d development? How about DirectX 11?

4. If my budget is enough, what workstation card do you recommend? Is there any workstation card capable to do realtime HD video rendering? And have the output functionality like Canopus HDSTORM?

Thanks.
