Ahoy all! I've recentley been smiled upon by fortune and cash, and have a little bit of cash with which to play with. The components which I have/are incoming shortly are:
20.1" viewsonic VX2025WM
320gb western digital sata hdd
160gb hdd, maxtor pata
120gb wd hdd pata
pioneer dvd burner
Antec p-180
Windows XP pro
Mx1000 mouse
microsoft keyboard.

requirments for the rest of the inside
500+ watt quiet psu with long cables
7900gt/1900xt class gfx card
2-4gb ddr2 memory
Dual core cpu (I can rough it on a celeryd if I must)
Mobo of decent overclocking capibility.
Note: I'm looking to go conroe, if possible, so If I must get a celery d, I will. On the otherhand, If I wind up getting the am2 route, Then a lil sempy I will have. Eitherway, pricerange is about a grand, but it has to last me until next year.

Is there a reason you don't just buy a new vid card for your sig'd rig? Until Conroe, I don't know if you're going to get a CPU with much more performance than an opt @ 2.8ghz.

The viewsonic is a nice monitor btw.

I need to re-do the rig in the sig, as of now, as I had to part it out and am currentley using a 1.3ghz celeron with 256mb ram and a a geforce 4mx420.

That's a pretty good reason. Just curious, was there something wrong with the enermax 620 that makes you not want to just buy another one?

Nothing at all, it was a kickarse psu. Silent, (stopped all fans, put my ear to it, could hear nothing), and reliable with good rails. I hadn't figured on replacing it with an identical, as I was eyeing either a hipper or a pccnad c, but that would be a bit more expensive.
