Build My Own Closet or Call Closetworld

We did some minor remodeling, and I've decided to take out my old closet that consisted of some crappy wood. The size is about 7ftx8ftx2ft (lengthxheightxdepth), and I am contemplating whether to just build it with some of the closet material at Lowes, HD, OSH, Container Store, etc. The alternative is to call up ClosetWorld and pay them to do it. I am somewhat inclined to build it myself, and probably between a novice and beginner when it comes to theses things.

Is it hard to do? I image it isn't, but probably time consuming. I can spend a Saturdaying to this. Any suggestions? If you are suggesting to build it (which I am probably going to do), and variations or styles that I should know? This closet will be holding clothes and old stuff that I keep around. One thing I would want to have is to have dual hanger rods, one on top of the other, for shirts and pants.

I saw some piece on MSN on how to build your own closet, but I can't find it.

Thanks
Dan

Can you install the doors? (maybe by-fold in a sliding track -- buy it as a kit) Nothing else matters, since it won't show. If you are talking about re-organizing the interior of the closet, then look at the displays at your local home improvement store and give it a try. Don't forget to buy a stud finder and use those new plastic anchors that screw into the sheet rock to attach brackets to the wall.

The doors are the sliding ones, in which two of the sliding doors cover the left side and the right side.

Yes, I mean reorganizing (shelves, baskets, etc) the whole interior of the closet.
