Build i7?

Hey guys Ive been doing at lot of research for a hard core gaming rig.
Mostly play Far Cry 2, Call of Duty 4. Im shooting for a price tag of $1350 including a monitor. It doesnt leave much money for future proofing and this will be my first build. I was wondering if everything i have is Ok and do i need a big case or meduim case. Also i was debated what motherboard to go with. What motherboard would be more bang for your buck?
