Or, if you on a really tight budget, a Fortron or Enermax will do. Otherwise if you got the bucks, Seasonic.

Is the power supply I chose not good enough?

ASPIRE ATX-AS520W BLACK ATX 520W Power Supply - Retail

Its 520W and it has 32A on the 12v rail I believe.

It might be, but who knows how long it'll last?

The Aspire might work, but they have a reputation for failing. Why risk it. Get a PSU with a better reputation for dependability. I say Fortron, Enhance, or Seasonic.

Most PSU that are shipped with the ASPIRE Cases are OKIA brand and as was stated earlier...It might be, but who knows how long it'll last?

I will tell you that for several years i used the OKIA with my ASPIER cases and had no issues.

Still i would probably get a different PSU using all that new equipment!!
No PSU manufacturer is going to pay for parts that get ruined or fried if your PSU screws up!!

I'd go with 3700+/3800+ cheaper cpus. The difference in performance is minimal.

ZALMAN CNPS7000B-CU 92mm 2 Ball Cooling Fan/Heatsink - Retail $43.99

ARCTIC COOLING FREEZER PRO 64 - $25
Just as good, if not better.
OR ZALMAN CNPS7000-CU - $26

ASPIRE ATX-AS520W BLACK ATX 520W Power Supply - Retail $56.99 ($10 mail in rebate)
FSP Group (Fortron Source) AX450-PN - $51

XION XION II XON-101 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450W Power Supply - Retail $70.99 ($15 mail in rebate)
- you are getting a tower but overpaying for the included power supply. Maybe find a tower without the psu like CoolerMaster Centurion, etc.

LITE-ON CD Burner Black IDE Model SOHR-5239V BK RT - Retail $20.99
LITE-ON Black ATAPI/E-IDE DVD-ROM Drive Model SOHD-16P9SV - OEM $18.99
I'd get a DVD burner instead. I have a dvd rom and a dvd-writer and I haven't burned CD to CD or DVD to a DVD in 2 years. Either way a DVD writer is not much more $.

As mentioned, be sure you don't go cheap on the PSU. Some people I guess wouldn't think so, but it is essential to keeping your rig running smooth. A faulty PSU can cause some serious problems in the future.

The build looks pretty sweet! Good luck!

FSP Group (Fortron Source) AX450-PN - $51

450W, is that enough? Also, I don't really know anything about the dual 12v rails, is there any difference between a normal PSU?

I was also wondering if my Motherboard and RAM were compatible because I couldn't find anything on OCZ's site for the motherboard I choise. I think I might change it to an DFI LanParty nForce4 Ultra board, but I'm not sure yet. Any input would be great.

Your RAM and mobo is fine, nice RAM choice btw. The Fortron PSU is more than enough to run what you're running and is way more reliable than that Aspire. Get a Centurion instead of that Xion, no hasles with that PSUs and I think better airflow

EDIT: your cpu chioce is not worth it. Either a 3700 single core or a 3800/4200 dual core would be sufficient

Switch the CPU to either Venice 3200+ to save money or to 3800+ or Opteron 165 for dual core. There's supposedly a sale on Monarch right around now for a ~$280 165.

Don't buy a 7200.8. Get a 7200.7 or .9 instead, as the .8's have reliability issues. I think your .8 is rather expensive too, as I got my 200GB 7200.7 for $30 and all my rebates came quickly.

Swap your opticals for one DVD burner. A dual layer 16x burner ought not cost much more than $40.

Buy cheaper ram. Save the pocketed money for broadband :)
