Build for Dad, might need some changes.

This is a build meant for AutoCAD/Pro Engineer. Basically, a workstation. I don't want a workstation GPU though, those are way too expensive IMO. Anyways, here it is.

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GMT-UD2H AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI R5770-PM2D1G-OC Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power
AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor Model ADX620WFGIBOX
OCZ Gold Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ3G10664GK
HITACHI Deskstar P7K500 HDP725050GLA360 (0A35415) 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

All from NewEgg. Total is ~579 bucks without shipping/taxes. I have a case/optical drive/software/peripherals. All I need to do is decide on a monitor. Also, what PSU is suitable for this build without being overkill? I know Corsair is a good PSU company and I'm stuck between all the variants of it. I chose 550W and hoped that after asking here, I could make the build cheaper. Also, what monitor do you guys recommend? Budget is 200 bucks for the monitor.

Thanks everyone.

Get the Phenom X4 Black Ed., and trade up for a WD re3 or a Seagate Barracuda. The rest looks good. I know it's more expensive, but it will render his work faster. Make sure if your dad is computer hardware illiterate, that he knows the old build would work awesome, but this will be better, not that it wouldn't work. I don't know if he will do a lot of video editing, but if that is the case two HDs is probably best. If you are close to budget don't bother though.

Any comments on the PSU choice?

EDIT: The budget is basically 600 bucks, and I've been doing some reading. If I bump it up to a Phenom II X4, I'll probably get a cheaper GPU which might mean I can get a lower wattage Corsair PSU. That means I can spend more on a hard drive or a monitor. Any thoughts?

Great. Despite what most people say, you don't need the beefiest G-card for this stuff. Get a decent DX10 card and the Ph. II X4. I'd get a 550W-600W PSU of high quality, Corsair, Antec, ect. If he decides to start doing large buildings and corporate structures then he may consider a better G-card.

Even with a 5770 the 450W Corsair is enough, though it will only save you 20 bucks I think.
