Can't seem to get my frontpanelaudio wires to the pin connector on my mobo.

Specs:
Opteron144 at 2.4 @ stock vcore
2x512 Corsair Value
x800GTO Fireblade at 580/1220
Antec Super Lanboy
160GB SATA
fortron 400w
epox 9npa+

Total: 648 (with shipping and everything)

Will probably break 6000 or a little less on 3DMark05, I'll have to actually test it soon.

thanks... i'm thinking in buying a 120mm panaflo, would it help my ambient case temps? (compared to the antec stock fan).

Hey great parts....I know you said that your wiring skills suck, but come on dude take some time and fix those up a bit. Chicks don't dig guys without wiring skills, plus you will thank yourself when you fix it all up.

Great build though, I almost like it enough to build something similar for myself for Christmas now.

If the air flows in more near the bottom of the case, that is where I would put the hard drive. It is mounted awfully high. This is just my personal opinion. You want airflow around the top and the bottom of the hard drive to make it last longer.

Agreed.

If you want to clean up the power supply wiring. Just get either a few 1inch zip ties or some adhesive hooks. You can either use the zip ties to attach it to the edge of the fan grill on the bottom of the power supply or you can use the adhesive base hooks and attach it to the back end of the power supply. The amount of slack from PSU cable around the heatsink will only disturb the tempetures and disturb the air flow from the rear fan, PSU fan and the heatsink fan itself. Can drop your temps 5 degrees at best just cleaning that area up.

Your HD should be situated at the bottom of the chassis. Cold air always sits at the the bottom as Pias stated.

The USB PCI breakout cable can just be routed under your PCI-Express card back to the header. Not the back of it.

changing your 120mm fan will probably not make your computer run cooler, just quieter.. so it depends how loud that stock amd fan is.. it really depends on what fan you get though.. if the cfm is higher.. then your case will be cooler.. if it is the same, but the fan is quieter, then its worth the upgrade in my opinion..

looks nice.. did you get that 144 recently? or a while ago when they were less rare and cheaper?

also concering your wiring job.
Just take some time a think about what your doing.......for rxample you could possibly turn your harddrive around there by concealing the cords....
and with a few zip ties you can conceal more of your wires...

Good Luck!!

Let me know how fast that Is I have virtually the same system X800GTO Opteron 148, 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM.

I can't build it untill Christmas so how fast and smooth does it run games. Look in my sig for my exact system the Opty.

Nice, how loud is the fan on the x800GTO Fireblade?
I just got one from ZZF and it was kinda loud, didnt bother me as I water cool, btu I was wondering how yours sounds.
Thanks !

WOW, where did you buy the parts for that cheap. That is a sweet rig.

I guess it is probably difficult to manage the wires in a MiniTower.

Yeah, the fan is pretty loud, but not too loud. (louder than regular graphics card fans).

I may get a Silencer Rev.2 soon, anyway.

Super deals that I got were:
Lanboy ($30 from CompUSA Black Friday)
Hitachi 160GB SATA ($20 from CompUSA Black Friday)

Everything else has pretty standard pricing... just great bang for the buck. (I don't want anyone telling me that they could have built a better computer for half the price 😛)
