The computer Gods frown on using one license for two machines. Save yourself some grief and get a retail copy.

Currently, XP is outperforming (as in more efficient use of addressing) Vista. However, if you're looking at playing the Dx10 games in all their hyped glory, you'll need Vista.

Since you're looking to oc, I would reccomend some speedier ram. I'm biased towards Corsair just because I've always had good luck ocing it but, there is often admittedly cheaper ram that performs just as well.

I looked at faster ram and would love to get it, but price is a factor, might have to only start with one gig and upgrade later if I got the pricier stuff.

thanks

Thanks!

I read up a lot on all the different parts for a few weeks, and everyone here at AnandTech was a HUGE help in me deciding on those parts.

I appreciate any and all comments, help, and input

Anyone else have any thoughts before I buy all this stuff?

Would I benefit that much from faster ram? like some PC2-8500

Planning on overclocking any? Looks like fantastic build so far. If overclocking, I may suggest going with the Abit IP35 instead, it's had excellent luck in the OC department.

I may suggest going with an overclocked GTS 320mb over the 640mb gts it would save some cash and benchmarks are darn close.

Thanks for the tip, I do plan on doing some overclocking. I am a oc noob so anything that would make it easier on me would help a ton.

I am checking out that board now

Are the benchmarks for both cards being overclocked?

The 8800 GTS 320mb overclocked vs the 640mb not overclocked, save some dough and only about 3fps difference.
