Well I've finally decided on a parts list for a new build that I've been planning. This rig won't be coming for a little while, at least until after the holidays, but I'm starting to get some money together now, and hopefully I'll be able to get this rig sometime soon. So, without further ado, I present the parts list for my upcoming rig with hopes that you will comment and possible make some changes for the better.
Note: I already have a case, monitor, speakers and keyboard/mouse.

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice
eVGA GeForce 6800GS (2)
Patriot Signature 1GB (2x512) RAM
Seasonic 500W PSU

you need to make sure that your case supports your motherboards form factor if it doesnt the motherboard wont fit inside the case and nice parts

Consider getting 2x1GB of RAM for a setup like that.

go with a 3000+ and get a 7800GT you can OC the 3000+ and get the same performance as a 3500+

Don't get 2 6800GS's, get 1 7800GTX

go with 2x1GB (OCZ is good stuff), and 1 7800GTX. by the way, your forgot a hard drive. if you want to go for performance (and have the cash), go with the 74GB WD Raptor 10k and some other 160 or 200GB hard drive for storage like Seagate or Hitachi.

I forgot to mention that I have an 80GB Seagate Barracuda sitting around that I was going to use as well. I like the suggestions guys, thanks a bunch.
