It would be quiet and eliminate the smog. You would probably need like a small nuclear reactor to run the thing, but that would be payed for by taxes. Clean air for all.

That's why the latest ionic breezes have ozone guard! I've always wondered, because I have never been worried about the amount of ozone I'm breathing in until I saw those ionic breeze commercials. Well, the skyskraper would just have to have ozone guard then. No reason this couldn't work.

You do realize that ozone is the primary component of smog, right? You want a system that REMOVES smog, not CREATES it. Yes, the new one has "ozone guard"...which turns some of the ozone created back into oxygen, but it's still a net producer of ozone.

Er, the Ionic Breeze does nothing to gasses AFAIK.

VOCs + NOx + O2 + light --> O3 + other products.

It would help remove particulates from the air.............. while adding to the smog by producing more O3. :p

Oh well, I thought it was a good idea.

<-- walks outside and breathes in fresh, clean country air.

You mean like those big nuclear-powered weather generators used in the movie Aliens?

Sounds like a good idea to me!

That'd be great if the I.Breeze actually did its job of filtering dust/harmful particles/dander, let alone NOX gasses. LoL.

i have 2 of them. they work. if it doesn't work like many on the intraweb says, then it must be creating those dust and sticking them onto those blades out of nowhere, in which case ,that'd be awesome as well

I have one as well. The ozone issue aside, they do work. The collection blades get caked with dust. For me, that does the trick. Also, when I smoke in the house, they remove the smoke smell very effectively.

The smog has gotten a lot better. I grew up in L.A. and it was a lot worse 20 years ago.

FTW...I walk everywhere I can. Of course, everything in La is so spread out that walking from place to place is impractical in many cases.
