It's been really damn cold in this (California/Nevada/Arizona/etc) area lately. My swimming pool actually had a good inch or so of frozen pool water on it! :Q

You mean ice? Is there a word for ice in the California dictionary?

Yeah, we have ice in both cubed and crushed formats.

I wonder who is going to be tapped to pay for this. My guess, CA businesses and taxpayers.

Um, everyone who wants to buy produce that is now in short supply will be paying for it.

Produce pricing will only be part of it, unfortunately.

I saved my two lemon trees and an orange tree by moving them into a garage.
I can sell you 7 lemons for $50 each! Pure organic lemons, doesn't get better than this!

I believe most crops are insured, and that insurance comes from the government. So yeah, we'll all be paying for it.

..so what do they do wit it all?? Juice?

A lot of it is used for juice. A client I work for is in the juice processing business, and this is going to affect them quite a bit. They're probably going to have to bring in citrus fruit from out of state since 75-80% of this years crop has been damaged.
