I first noticed some small (about half the size of Drosophila flies) brown bugs on my ceiling a few weeks ago. They were in the living room and around the lights. Killed them all and didn't think much of it, until they kept reappearing on my ceiling day after day.

It's been a couple of weeks now and the process continues. I also notice that they get into my room when my lights are on and all other lights are off.

They are easy to kill, dark brown, crunchy when squished and spiders absolutely love them (there are literally hundreds all along my window seal).

Can anyone identify these bugs and most importantly, how the hell do I get rid of them?

*Bugs in picture are much smaller in real life.

Are they small enough to fit through a screen if you leave the window open at night? Im going to guess they come in at night when you have the window open and the light on in your room. Or you could be living in a pig pen. Figure out the source, and terminate that first. Killing the bugs without doing that will just keep bringing them back to sleep with you.

Now that I think of it, we do leave the window open at night. And yes, they might be small enough to go through the screens.

I'll snoop around the house tomorrow to see where they might be coming from.
