bugcheck error: hardware related or software?

my comp keeps restarting when my girlfriend plays sims 2. i reinstalled the video, sound, directx drivers. the error log shows this on restart:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0xe4ca9000, 0x00000001, 0xb5764024, 0x00000001). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini111304-03.dmp.

i even repaired win2kpro to see if it was a system problem.

any ideas?
