Bug in Internet Explorer while running on Win XP

I run Internet Explorer 6.0 on Win XP Home and a very annoying bug is bothering me constantly.

1. When I use the "back"-button to go back to the home page the window I use closes down. Other windows of Explorer stay open. It's not a problem with the home page I have set, it works fine on many other computers, and shows up correctly and doesn't contain any fancy coding, just html.

2. When I use the "back"-button to jump several pages back the window I use in Explorer also closes down. Other windows stay up.

It's very annoying to say the least - anybody have an answer to this?

Check the Windows Update site.

I just downloaded that fix this a.m. I can't remember if it was under critical or optional, but it was there.

Hope this helps.

Edit: DOH! Sorry I linked you to the 98 update site.

98 at work, XP at home.

I would still check for an update, cuz it is an issue.
