"Buffered read" tab completely gone in AIDA32

I installed AIDA32 v3.93 on a PC with Win98 SE on it and the "Buffered read" is gone! It's on a Biostar NF325-A7 (nForce3 250 chipset) mobo with a WD740ADFD Raptor. The SATA controller is on the NF chipset. I've never seen this tab not there on any other install. Does anyone know why it's not there?

It's also showing 100% CPU usage for ALL of the HD benchmarks! HDTach 2.61 showed it as only 4.7% yesterday, but today it's up to anywhere from 18.7% to 22%! Nothing is running in the background except System Tray and Explorer, same as yesterday. (The only thing done to the PC since yesterday was Roxio ECDC 6 was installed, but again NONE of it is running in the background, so I don't see how that could affect CPU usage).

The PC has never been connected to the net, it's brand new and just formatted.
Thanks.

Well any specific reason that you had to install Win98? As far as I know AIDA -> Everest. So try Everest on it, maybe it'll tell you what's going on.

It's a customer's PC and he had to have Win98SE on it due to some special software.

Everest is the same as AIDA32, except, it has no benchmarks. So it would be useless here. 😉
