I keep getting buffer underruns when burning cd's with a Yamaha 2100s 16x10x40 SCSI ...I have tried using Nero 5.5, Adaptec EZ CD Creator and CloneCd (which sometimes works)...I'm using an Advansys SCSI card...My system should be adequate!

Try backing off on the speed. Also if you're doing a CD-CD copy make sure that the source drive can pump the data fast enough from end to end.

I believe most high-speed CDRWs have a disclaimer somewhere that their listed speed is usually only attainable with HDD->CD burns, not CD->CD. If you take the extra step of copying everything on your source CD onto the HDD and then are able to burn that to CD at 16x (provided you are using 16x media), that satisfies the CDRW rating.
