Buffalo TeraStation Pro - E06 Lost Boot Image

This is probably a huge long shot but I have already posted on Buffalo's forums with no luck....

I have a Buffalo TeraStation Pro that is displaying E06 Lost Boot Image when booting. I have been poking around on the forums trying several different things but with no luck. I downloaded the TFTP Boot Recovery and once it finished booting the NAS Navigator sees the TeraStation Pro. I then load the updater that comes with the firmware I downloaded and everything looks good but then it gets towards the end I believe and comes up with an error message of Couldn't pass to the authentication. Please confirm again admin-password of the TS-HTGL-EM546. I believe I have the correct firmware. The sticker on the back of my Terastation Pro says TS-H0.0TGL/R5 for the model but then on a smaller sticker just below the larger one it says TS-H4.0TGL/R5.

Are you trying to get the data back?
If so, you could boot up a linux distro, hook up the drives natively, and mount them...

Yeah, the flash that stores the OS for those things can go corrupt. Migrate your data off and send it in for a repair/replacement (assuming it's under warranty. If not, well... dunno. Is the flash replaceable, like it's on an SD card or something?)

I'm fairly confident that the last backup from the unit is good. Just wanted to take a peek at the drives. I don't believe the flash is replaceable. From some searching it sounds like the OS lives on the drives in a small partition. This is my first time working with a Buffalo unit. Not too impressed with their support at this point. Will probably pick up a different 4 disk NAS and just wipe the drives and install them in something a little newer once I can get a look at the drives.
