Buffalo Routers - Do they all do this when an incorrect password is entered?

When i tried to log into my buffalo router, i clicked cancel and was shown the following:

"AUTHORIZE ERROR

CAUTION

1.The user name is "root".
2.Check uppercase or lowercae in the password."

I don't believe i've ever seen a router provide you the user name before. Anyone else find this a bit strange? (besides the incorrect spelling of lowercase to boot)

Definitely not a good thing for them to have it programmed that way. Maybe check for a firmware update?
