It has no gateway so I am locked out of the admin web setting page.

I flashed the firmware to ddwrt and tried to set it as an access point and then this all happened.

I tried the 30-30-30 reset for ddwrt but it didnt work.

Please help

Thanks in advance

Do you mean the router isn't assigning a DHCP ip address and gateway
for your PC to use?

Can you setup the PC with a static IP and ping the gateway?

Can you describe what currently connects to what in your Network?

Do you know what the Static IP that DD-WRT assigned to the Router and adjust the computer to it in order to connect to the Router/AP and configure it.

KillerBee: yes because I turned off DHCP in order to set it up as an access point.

JackMDS: I removed the connection to the primary router already.

This is just my laptop connected to the DD-WRT through the ethernet port. Nothing else is connected.

If you do not know the core IP of a Router/AP and the DHCP is off you can not connect to it.

Look at the DD-WRT online page to find the logon Id and default IP.

Set the computer's NIC to a static IP of the same subnet as the DD-WRT, then you will be able to connect.

JackMDS: Yes, the default ip for the DD-WRT Gateway is 192.168.1.1

However, this was changed when I tried setting it up as an Access Point. I assigned it in the same subnet as the primary router.

But setting static IP and going to 192.168.1.1 doesn't work because IPconfig did not see that gateway and I can't ping it.

Then, flash again to get it to Default.

Connect it temp. on its own to a computer off the Network with static IP.

Configure the Router as AP and make sure that the IPs are on the same subnet but different than the Main Router.

E.g. If main Router is 192.168.1.1 give the AP a static IP of 192.168.1.10

Only when this done and working with stand alone computer off the Network reconnect everything to Network.

JackMDS: I am trying to reset it to default by doing the 30-30-30 per DD-WRT but it is not working.

I can't really flash it unless I can go into the web config..

Also, I can try doing telnet but I need a firmware that is less than 3mb (limitation) 🙁

Damn I regret flashing to DD WRT firmware, should have kept stock, so easy to reset to default...
