Buffalo and linksys compatability?

I am building a large home network. I wanted to use wap54g's but I just realized there not as feature filled as the b wap's. (can't be a repeater). So now im thinking of using buffalo AP/bridge/repeaters, as a complete solution.

Some Entry level Repeater will work as Repeaters only with the same Brand Hardware.

Thus it is much safer to get the same Brand.
