Buffalo Airstation won't connect to the internet?

I'm not sure if this helps, but the model is: whr-hp-g54

I was cut off from the internet a few days ago and got it back this morning. When i turned the laptop on, it asked me to log in to wireless. I disconnected and re-tried and it hasn't asked me to log in since. It tells me that it's connected to the internet however it never loads. When i tried wireless on my iPod, it said it was connected fully (three bars) to the router however when i tried loading the internet it loads for a long time then ultimately tells me that the server has stopped responding.

If i connect the laptop directly to the modem instead of through the router, it works fine, which means that the issue is the router itself.

any help would be much appreciated, thanks. joel.

It could be the Wireless, it could be the Router on the LAN side, it could be the Internet connection authentication in the Router's WAN side.

So, as a first step plug the laptop via a Wire to the Router and then find out whether there is a connection or Not, and where it stops.

thanks for the quick reply. I can't get a connection wired or wireless through the router, though the router shows up on the network list and says I am connected both wired and wireless. I am currently connected directly to the modem and the internet connection is fine.

How old is it? Have you tried resetting it to factory defaults, and/or reflashing the firmware? Perhaps something just got corrupted somewhere. Could probably try DD-WRT too.
