Buffalo Air-station wifi issue

I have a broadband connection at home, where the agency only provided a CAT 5 cable to my home. I could simply connect the cable to my computer's ethernet port and connect to internet using PPPoE settings, where the username and password were provided by the ISP. I then purchased a wifi router (Buffalo Air Station WCR- GN, N150). The router firmware looks for internet and is then supposed to setup the PPPoE. However, the router isn't recognizing internet. It continues to give the error that the internet is not plugged in.

Has anyone tried to do the same? I also tried to go into the PPPoE settings in the router firmware and then give username, password and servicename. It still wouldn't detect any internet. But the internet cable works when connected directly to computer.

Please help.
