There's a guy selling his used GTO2 for $212. This is what he writes to me...is it worth it?
"the condition is fairly new. if you've read my thread, you will see that i did unlock the 16pipelines, so it's slightly used. as you may know, these cards were only released to the market in the month of october, so it's not even a month old.
I'm an honest seller, and before anyone commits to this sale, I want them to know what they are getting into. As mentioned in my thread, i've only used the Techpowerup's modified bios to unlock the extra pipes - and that's all it really does, is unlock those extra pipes.
From there I don't know if it should be able to insanely overclock right away from the default 400core/490memory speeds to X850XTPE speeds of 540/600. Every owner in various forums I've read have successfully pushed this card to X850XT speeds or higher. I'm not an overclocker, I only used ATItool and have only been able to push it to 480/600 stable, but would crash going any higher. I am thinking that i would need an x850 type bios because trying to OC a x800 based card on an x800 based bios probably isn't working. I've read about people flashing their cards with x850xt bioses but I would do more research on how to do that."
