Budweiser: King of Beershttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budweiser:laugh:

Well compared to other similar beers, Coors, Miller...ect, it's probably the better of them all but they all taste like water when compared the rich flavor of imported ales from europe.

Oh by the way, does anyone know where I can find some Golden Draught? I've looked everywhere on the net and called a few stores but no one has heard or has any.

Edit: Doh! It's been fixed. nm then.

Most American craft brews have more flavor than imported ales from Europe.

I've drank all over Europe and to be honest I think Belgium is the only country that beats American microbrews. Germany disappointed me although their weissbiers will make one fall to their knees. I just had much higher expectations, and in the end if I had to choose one country's selection I would go with America.

Where does Wiki say this?

I agree but Belgians are in a class of their own.

That's because Heineken is single-malt horsepiss. If you want a real Dutch beer, get an Amstel.

Life's too short to drink bad beer. Bad beer is loosely defined as, but not limited to, anything brewed by the top 5 brewers in the U.S. Brew your own!

Bud Coors Miller all target the american lager or the light american lager style of beer. They are by definition very different from other styles. European imports also sometime target this category (and its huge market) ... just look at Heineken and Carlsberg. Conversely, there are many many american breweries that brew ales and lagers that are packed with as much flavor as any import.

Golden Draught should be pretty widely available at stores that focus on craft and import beers.

Top 5? I know Bud/Miller/Coors. Who are the other two?

Bud Select is a great summer brew. It's light, easy to drink, cheap, and available. I don't crave a porter or an oatmeal stout when it's 90 degrees and muggy as hell outside.

If I can't get an unfiltered wheat (like Boulevard), it's my backup.

I'm able to appreciate it's simpleness. I don't want a Guinness(or similar) or a Belgium lambic every day or every time of the year.

" It's light, easy to drink, cheap, and available" Pretty much the definition of ice tea, water or, soda. Pass me an Imperial 'Black as a landlord's heart and sweet as a lass' kiss.'

I like a ribeye more than anything else in the world. But I'm not going to turn away a cheesburger or meatloaf because they aren't a steak.

Beer snobs suck and are the worst people to have around at parties.

I won't turn it away if it's free. But if I'm going to spend my hard earned dollars for beer, I'm buying the good stuff. I also don't typically buy ribeyes. I usually buy filets.
