Budget WiFi Router recommendations

Budget ~$75.

Need something that is reliable and has good WiFi range. Don't really care about about WiFi speeds as long as its not G speeds.


I do lots of gaming and lots of HD video streaming via netflix/hbgo/dramafever etc. If I ever transfer files its usually thru Ethernet with my pc's.

Speed means in WIFI Range and Bandwidth.

If yo can afford $50 more go with this.

Or TP-Link WDR3600. I've got a pair of them and they work great. I got one used for $30 and one open box for $36. They are regularly new for ~$50.

Great 2.4GHz and 5GHz performance. Gigabit ports. Overall very nice, especially for the price, but even at a slightly higher price they'd be very, very nice.

Wow nice find, this seems to have all the specs I want even at $50-60 its still a good bargain imo.

Its why I jumped on it. Nice and low power too. I think it uses around 4.5w, compared to a lot of the higher end routers which are chugging 10-15w. It not mean much...but my house gets hot enough in the summer time and I gotta pay for that electricity too.

It works great for me. Zero issues with about 4-5 weeks on one (as an AP) and around 2 weeks on the other one (as router) with no reboots and rocksteady wifi/routing. I don't own any devices over 2:2...so I don't need a 3:3 router at all. though I wouldn't mind an 11ac equivelent of the WDR3600 from TP-Link at some point (as my laptop does have Intel 7260ac card in it and probably sooner rather than later more of my devices will be 11ac).
