Looks good assuming you're only gaming on 1080P. Which Gigabyte board is that?

That Seasonic power supply is a S12II-520 Bronze I presume. I'll get a Seasonic S12G-550 instead.

Looks like the lower end i5 6500 skylake is up now. It adds $70 more - is this even worth it over haswell? Also it appears the non K includes a cooler.

Thoughts?

I bit the bullet and paid a little extra for skylake. $909 total. Went with the as rock h170m pro 4 board and gskill 8gb kit of 2133mhz ddr4 with a 65w i5 6500.

System built today. Everything seems to be working fine. Installed windows 8 then upgraded to 10.

One question, the GTX 970 is longer than I expected and kinda touching the tip of one my fan headers (the y splitter to be exact). Should I be concerned?

Hey, can I ask you a question? In your BIOS, are there options for overclocking your RAM? You don't have to actually do it; I just want to check if they exist on H170.

None that I can see under advanced. This is a basic no frills H170 board and only list ddr2133 as the supported speeds.
