No overclocking or gaming on this budget rig.

What pci-e video card will do the trick for around $50? Looking for good bang for the buck.

Going for a duo core processor, which board is stable? I was thinking of going the P965 route as per the AT guide but feel free to recommend something else. I'm looking to spend ~$100 for the board. No need for raid or firewire. Just a board that won't give me headaches.

You won't find any 965 motherboard for this price. The closes is Asrock 775 which is not 965. You will get Gigabyte 965 S3 for 100$ which is a great overclocker.

Add a few more dollars and go for a Leadtek 7300GT with 128meg of DDR3. It's an amazingly capable card for just under $90 shipped from Newegg. Scores around 12000 on 3DMark 03.

This comp will be for office apps, internet surfing and email. What's good around $50-60?

7300LE, maybe even a 6200TC - should be able to pick them up for tiny prices - no need for anything more just for office apps.

I was looking up 6200's and it seems all of them have the "supporting xxxMB (xxxMB on board)" specification. Does that mean it uses my system memory like onboard video does? Crap, I might spring for a 6600 with passive cooling

maybe hans...didn't find much FS right now. Hmm, sifting through the 6600's, there's nothing much as far as passive goes. OKAY....anyone know who offers the best warranties? Do companies still give out lifetime for vid cards?
