Budget of $120. Best video card i can get?

That is my budget and i need a video card that can play games well. I play Planetside and half life 1 currently. In the future i will play the mod FF or TF2 for the game Half Life 2.

cpu: 3400+ 939

Needs to be pci-e.

Im in the same position as you...ati fan looking for a good 120$ card..Thinking of going with the 7600GTS.

Why not the GT version? It alittle bit more? Is there a big performance lost?

Hmm, i didnt know the x850xt was pci-e too, I just picked the first one i saw on newegg.

7600GT is best all around performer in that price range now. With mail in rebates (I hate them they never work) you can get one around $110. I just upgraded and got that evga 7600GT and it is great, runs BF2 at high quality settings wonderfully. Plays Hl2 the same.

From the reviews i read it seems the GTS gets left behind when some things are enabled like AA and AF. Other than that the GTS did look good, but for $10 ill make it back if the Rebate work.
