One of my machines, a Dell GX620, was just upgraded from a Pentium 4 to a Pentium D 945, and I'm looking to give it some more oompf by upgrading the mobo too, but I'm having a very difficult time choosing which motherboard would be best for my situation.
I'm currently stuck with the proprietary Dell mobo that doesn't even give me temperatures let alone control fan speeds or overclock. But since I'm not a big hardware enthusiast, all I'm looking for are basic monitoring features (temperatures) and maybe a slight capability to overclock. I'm going to stick with Dell's massive HSF, so I'm not looking to get a major performance boost. I'd just like to know a bit more about what's going on in my case.
If anyone could pass me a suggestion, that'd be great. Thanks.
