Budget Laptop Recommendation

Looking for a recommendation for a laptop in the $400-$550 range, for a college student.

Was just looking at outlet.lenovo and I see an E550 / i5-5200U / 4gb / win 8.1 pro 64 / 15.6" 1366 x 768 in a refurb for $435 or the same spec in a scratch and dent for $461. Price is before any tax/shipping. Was hoping a T model might fit the budget but a refurb T-440p is clocking in at over $800.

Any thoughts on that spec or any other suggestions that I should also be looking at?

Thanks,
SB

Happy to help and I love the fact that Microsoft Signature laptops have practically zero crapware installed.

Install an SSD, clone an image and the laptop should last several years.
