True, though Windows 10 will most likely not be installed and I'm sure Office won't. A Google search brings up that Ubuntu only takes yp 4.5 GB, but even if it were to be 10GB there would still be plenty left for web browsing, mail and storing a few pictures.

I don't think I need 8GB of RAM, as this PC is purely for simple tasks.

If I can find a good deal on an i3, I will, but it is a significant amount more and I'm not sure if my family is willing to pay that.
Which Core i3 would you recommend?

Anyway, thanks for the advice.

On my i3 4170 box with 8GB RAM a couple of background programs + a dozen of tabs in Chrome swallows 3.5GB easily. Even for simple tasks that Celeron will start to stutter on 720p60 or 1080p60 too. What you originally listed will work - just - but there is no breathing room at all. And a new TechSpot article on RAM:

The sweet spot is 8GB.

Anyways, I'll have to take back what I said about the MeegoPad T02 Ubuntu edition Compute Stick. I DID find drivers for Win10 32-bit, which makes it actually usable, and it's not too bad, not bad at all.

I don't want to be rude, but as said before, multiple tabs won't be open and video will rarely be watched. Mail and files might run in the background, but nothing more. Thanks for taking the time to respond though :)

Thanks for telling me, but after searching for hardware, comparing, playing around with Ubuntu distros for 2 whole days (!), I heard from the people this PC will be for that they strictly want a laptop now. The only reason for this is that they can close the laptop so they don't have to look at the screen all the time. I'm pretty pissed off by it, but not much I can do about it.
I told them to take the advertising papers from their mail and take one from there, because I'm done. I might help with a laptop later, but right now I'm done.
