Budget gaming PC

Alright. I have about a $500-$600 budget. I want a DECENT gaming rig. I don't care about playing the games on the highest settings right now. I just want something that'll play FEAR, WoW, HL2, etc., and can be upgradeable down the line. Here's what I figured could work.

Let me know what you guys think.

For Wow, you might want to pic up another gig of memory. Other then that, your system seems fine to me 🙂

i run 1 gig of DDR333 and have had no problems with WoW at 1280x1024 maxed out.

buy a 7600GT or X850XT instead of the 6800XT (XT's are slower than regular 6800's). 7600GT and X850XT are the same price as your 6800XT at least twice as fast🙂

you may also want to go for the 3400+ CPU/mobo deal, unless you plan on overclocking.

everything else looks good🙂

I'd get 2 gigs, and a 7600GT myself. And I don't like that case, but if you do, then....

Yes... for the future, probably a good idea to look for a am2, if you can squeeze it into your budget. Other than that, looks great!
