Budget DVR CCTV security monitoring system ?

I just bought one of those generic 4 port pci dvr cards with PICO 2000 ( what else could I use ? ) software at fleabay . I was planning use a suplus 500mhz PIII PC and buy a " hot deal " 160 hd , and some of those generic wireless camera and revievers . I am very much a newbe at this and would appreciate some tips from those who have done it before . - thanks
