Hi guys, not long ago i bought the parts for my new build, they are in US and im in Chile so i'll have to buy the case here, can you help me choose a good ATX model? Here are some Chilean stores with cases:

https://www.pcfactory.cl/?categoria=328&papa=326
https://www.wei.cl/index.htm?op=categoria&ccode=1221

i found one that looks good for 100 bucks, its a corsair Spec 03:
https://www.spdigital.cl/products/view/51579
https://www.spdigital.cl/categories/view/375?b=CORSAIR

what do you guys think? will it fit the M9i coolers width and the 1070?

Corsair usually makes OK cases, this Spec 03 is one of their midrange units at ~$50-60 and comes with 2x 120mm fans (minimum amount you'd want).
Fans are unobstructed (good) but no real dust filters, might mean you need to clean it more often. Looks like an option that would work.
My main concern is that you mention it costs $100, if so then there may be better options at the same price, or similar cases for less.

Real quick I can say the M9i is listed at 125mm tall, and the video card says about 270mm long.

Do you know which specific GPU you are getting? There are a few FTW models, and sometimes the cheaper/lower SC cards are actually clocked higher.

FTW GAMING ACX3.0 Part# 08G-P4-6276 | Base/Boost 1607 / 1797 | Power Connection/Phases 8+8-Pin 10+2 | Max Power Draw 215W

FTW DT GAMING ACX3.0 Part# 08G-P4-6274 | Base/Boost 1506 / 1683 | Power Connection/Phases 8+8-Pin 10+2 | Max Power Draw 215W

SC GAMING ACX3.0 Part# 08G-P4-6173 | Base/Boost 1594 / 1784 | Power Connection/Phases 8-Pin 4+1 | Max Power Draw 170W

SC GAMING ACX3.0 Black Edition Part# 08G-P4-5173 | Base/Boost 1594 / 1784 | Power Connection/Phases 8-Pin 4+1 | Max Power Draw 170W

what about this CM? http://www.sistemax.cl/webstore/index.php?route=product/product&path=88&product_id=537

The evga ive got is the first one from your list, ill add it to the partlist: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Foxslink/saved/X7TWZL
And yep cases are expensive here, im not spending more than 120 bucks for one, they even sell some at $200.
I think its a good idea to also buy 2 140mm fans and replace the ones that come with the case, which ones would you recommend? i think i can still get them from US, here its too expensive and lets say they dont sell the best.

Corsair AF https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-AF140-CO-9050017-BLED-140mm-Airflow/dp/B00F6S0XZI/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1473921903&sr=1-5&keywords=140mm+fan

Phanteks XP https://www.amazon.com/Phanteks-140mm-Radiator-Cooling-PH-F140XP_BK/dp/B00E9NZX7E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473923522&sr=8-1&keywords=Phanteks+XP

Not sure the route you are trying to go, as you linked to a PWM (4-pin) and 3-pin fans. Plus, the Pure Wings 2 are $19.99. The Notcuta NF-A14 FLX (3-pin) are also $19.99

If you don't care about color, and like quiet, look at these. Both top out at 19.6 dBA

https://www.amazon.com/Bearing-Cool...925250&sr=8-1&keywords=nf-p14s+redux-1200+pwm

https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-Beari...1473925347&sr=8-1&keywords=nf-p14s+redux-1200

To read more about them, go here:

http://noctua.at/en/products/fan/redux

If you don't like those, the Phanteks XP and Pure Wings 2 are both good quiet fans. The Corsair AF are 'meh'. Not great, not bad, but noisier than the others.

ok those noctuas are nice, and the redux version seems to have 4 pin too, so they can work silent when idle like the Phanteks XP, those are my 2 most favorite now, what do you think is best ?
redards to why PMW i heard its more convenient to keep them silent, i dont know much about the difference between 3pin and 4 pin, i guess 4 is better and my board should support them
thanks for helping

Both are good choices, but I like Noctua a little bit better personally, and most of my fans in my computer are Noctua. As far as if you should get PWM fans or 3-pin fans, that's up to you. You can control 3-pin fans with a controller as well, but if the motherboard you select has 4-pin headers, you might as well get the PWM fans as they are easier to control directly from the motherboard BIOS or the motherboard utility program.

I have two 3-pin fans on my case fan controller , and my exhaust and CPU fan are PWM controlled.

btw there was a very similar noctua only it had 1500 rpm same price, i didnt notice but i dont understand why they have same cost x)

That's common for all fan manufacturers. In the post where I mentioned the Noctua Redux fans, I linked to Noctua's website where it showed all the different versions of 140mm fans they offered.

http://noctua.at/en/products/fan/redux

The 1500 RPM fans are louder than the 1200 RPM fans by up to 6 dBA, and since you said "looking for something quiet and good perf too", that's why I didn't suggest the louder versions. The 1200 RPM are 64.9 CFM, and the 1500 RPM are 78.7 CFM, but you should never need to run them that fast. My Noctua intake fans run around 800 RPM, and my exhaust runs around 750 RPM.

this thermaltake seems good, but i dont know how to find out if they have space for 2 140mm fans, the page says 120mm slots, wonder if its the same or not

In the U.S., we use CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) to measure air volume. In other countries, it is common for them to use
m³/h (Cubic Meters per Hour)

this thermaltake seems good, but i dont know how to find out if they have space for 2 140mm fans, the page says 120mm slots, wonder if its the same or not

Cases are such a personal decision, and that site has a lot of cases I never heard of. The easiest way to tell if they support 140mm fans, and how many they support, is to just Google the model number of a case you like, and look at the manufacturer's website for detailed info.

For example, that Thermaltake g41 you linked to above:

http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model_Specification.aspx?id=C_00002303

If you look at the cooling system, it states it supports one 120mm intake fan, 120mm exhaust, and several optional different sizes for the top. So that one would not work for you.

OK the case should have removable, washable air filters.I don't care about fancy lights or looks. I want a case to sit quietly and discreetly off to the side and not draw attention to themselves. After all, I want to pay attention to what's on my monitors. I want a case that supports several large (at least 120mm, preferably 140mm) case fans. I also want all the front panel buttons, audio and USB ports up near the top because my case sits near the floor and I don't want to get on my hands and knees just to see which port to plug my headphones into. I like a side panel window so I can inspect the interior for dust build up and spinning fans without having to open the case up.

Sadly, i cant get a case in the US because shipping is costly, i will have to buy it here in Chile, (they dont sell fractal or Phanteks here)
there's a similar g42, i think only front panel design changes Thermaltake Commander G42 (CA-1B5-00M1WN-00)
i bought the 2 140 mm fans so the only issue is that i cant put them in this case, maybe just one, shouldve bought 2 120mm.
what do you think? should i go with this G41 case and sell the 140mm here to then get 120mm, or should i find another case that supports 2 140 mm fans ?
I dont know if there's too much difference between 120 and 140 when moving air, or if its worth the hassle.
id appreciate your help and id look forward to hearing from you

I guess it depends on what's available down there. A 120mm fan can move as much air as a 140mm, however since they are smaller, they will have do so at a higher RPM (more noise). But there are still very good and quiet 120mm fans. So if finding a case that supports 140mm fans and fits your needs is difficult in your region, just pick up a fan like the Noctua S12B redux-1200 PWM:

http://noctua.at/en/products/product-line-redux/nf-s12b-redux-1200-pwm

They still move a good amount of air and they only produce up to 18.1 dBA.

ok thx for prompt reply
you mean this one? https://www.amazon.com/Bearing-Cool...e=UTF8&qid=1474508787&sr=8-1&keywords=nf-s12b
there is another one very similar with 4pin and a bit more expensive.
https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NF-S1...e=UTF8&qid=1474508787&sr=8-2&keywords=nf-s12b

If only we had made this clear before, now its too late to have them sent for free, my uncle already got them, he would have to ask for a refund but then i will have to pay the Shipping cuz my dad is already flying tonight with all the things. I could also tell him to bring them and use one , or just sell them and get the 120mm in another time. It all depends in how much it will be to have them shipped later.

Btw what happened to elite retard? havnt seen him in a while, i hope he is ok

They look like the same fan (same model number), so I'd get the cheaper one. I'm not sure why they are separate listings.

The first one you listed is sold by Noctua Cooling Solutions and fulfilled from Amazon, and also directly from Amazon at a higher price, so it's legit (I've ordered Noctua fans from both of those before).

As far as Elite Retard, I'm not sure. Sometimes people just take a break from here to recharge. I once did it for about 2 years. ;)

ok, and what do you think about these cases? they all seem to provide better airflow than g41/42
The CM Mastercase 5 - supports up to 3 140mm front intake fans:
http://www.sistemax.cl/webstore/index.php?route=product/product&path=88&product_id=537

The 'monster' TT V71 supports 2X 140mm intake fans: http://www.solotodo.com/products/18836-thermaltake-core-v71-ca-1b6-00f1wn-00/ - Also available here: https://www.wei.cl/index.htm?op=producto&pcode=GATHER0073
If it's monstrously too big, then i could mod the G41/42 or..

Zalman Z9 Neo supports 2X 140mm intakes: http://www.sistemax.cl/webstore/index.php?route=product/product&path=88&product_id=367
Provides better intake airflow options than the G41/42

the last option i have is Win 303 https://www.inwin-style.com/es/gaming-chassis/303

I don't have any hands on experience with any of those, so I would read some reviews to see if it fits your needs.

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zalman/Z9_NEO/

http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/7796/cooler-master-masterbox-5-mid-tower-chassis-review/index.html

https://www.bjorn3d.com/2016/07/in-win-303/

The first two received very good ratings, and support 140mm fans. The In Win scored ok, but it does not support 140mm fans. If it was my choice, I'd probably go with the Zalman or Thermaltake.

mc 5 and zalman are not available, i found out about a company that sends stuff to chile from miami, they charge a lot less, sending this phanteks for instance would cost me 134 bucks
https://www.amazon.com/Phanteks-Enthoo-Acrylic-Window-PH-ES515PA_BK/dp/B019GAWWP0/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1474513017&sr=1-3&keywords=phanteks

what about this corsair? i dont think it has removable dust filters, maybe supports one 140mm fan. http://www.solotodo.com/products/27033-corsair-carbide-series-100r-cc-9011075-ww/
what are your thoughts about these?

if thats not a good choice i will just go for the TT monster, which i can buy tomorrow

I personally like the window and on that great Phanteks case it's nice because the cable management is great, so you can make it nice, clean and airy inside. It's really a personal preference. My only point is that acrylic windows can scratch fairly easily, so don't remove the protective plastic until you're fully done with the build. And then don't rub it hard or wash it aggressively. Dust it lightly with a feather duster or something.

Phanteks are good cases, and it should serve you well.
