1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Gaming, everyday use, home entertainment center
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
$1,000 give or take $100
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
USA
4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.
Leaning towards Intel i5 Sandy
5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
Speakers, keyboard, mouse.
6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
Yes
7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Possibly, if needed
8. What resolution YOU plan on gaming with.
Not sure, wanted to use a 24" or 26" Widescreen @HQ
9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
ASAP, for BF3

I'm making my first build and I am unable to decide on what I need. I'm building this specifically for Battlefield 3, but I want most of the parts to last at least a year or two for an average gamer.

I'm leaning towards the i5 Sandybridge and the GTX 560 from reviews.

Also, I plan to use a 26" monitor with a 32" LED TV. (26" for average use and gaming, 32" for movies and multi-tasking during games) I don't know what is necessary to run both screens on one computer so any advice will be helpful.

Thanks for the help.
P.S. I'm also looking for a decent labtop under $300 for only school work if anyone has any recommendations.

Please clarify whether your $1,000 budget requires you to buy those displays or not. You didn't list them under #5 but it sounds like you might have the 32" at least already...?

Are you up for a drive to a Micro Center? There appear to be several sort-of-near you, in neighboring states. They have 2500K's for $180, this SLI-capable Gigabyte board I've been recommending lately, and I heard something about $40 off when you get the CPU and a board (doesn't have to be that one) together. Not sure if that's included in the $180 or not.
