Budget 5.1+ Receiver Recommendations

electronics expo has a coupon code that can get you the denon avr-1610 for $276...you can find it online pretty easily, and they're an authorized dealer.

the onkyo has 4 HDMI inputs, which may come in handy in the future.

on the other hand, the denon has the more advanced Audyssey MultEQ, which takes measurements at 6 room positions vs. 2 positions for onkyo's 2EQ. not sure how much difference this would actually make

either one is a solid choice. the denon with the coupon will be a bit cheaper.

I just bought the Denon avr-590. The electronics-expo price is killer for the avr-1610 which is the same receiver.

The Onkyo TX-SR507 is a great choice. I picked one up for $300 a couple of months ago to replace my old Onkyo TX-SR501 and I am very happy with it. It comes with Audyssey audio calibration and makes music sound very lively. If you have any questions about it, let me know.
