Ok guys/gals,

My sister gave me $1500 to build her a new computer. I was looking at dell for a bit, but decided to order parts, since i'll probably get the best bang for my buck.

What would you guys do with $1500? I need everything...LCD(17in+) case/psu/vid/sound/mobo/etc..

What's she using it for?

Does she do any gaming?

Would she want to spend less or would she want you to get a decent computer and then get really nice peripherals to go with it?

She has a 12 year old daughter that love sims, and a husband that's a gamer, but not hardcore like many of us. I would say, Homework/some 3-D gaming/minor video editing (burning her home videos on dvd)/Internet video conferences?

You should be able to get a decent Dell for $1500.00..with all the fixings as well..

Remember what comes along with building a system for your sister.. She is most likely going to come to you for anything that goes wrong with it, or any potential problems..At first, this might not be so troublesome, but after a while, you'll wish you bought that Dell; she can just go to Dell for any tech support needs..
