Probably 1.5-2years old and I want to make an offer but I need to know if it's smart buying a used tv? Related risks of things going bad increases as the TV ages.

So buy or pass? Lets say if i offer him 400bux.

I can't recall if threads like this are even allowed but I appreciate your replies.

Thanks

It's really tough to come up with a fair price on a used flat panel. Someone on craigslist will probably be willing to overpay though if you can't come to a deal.

As far as used goes, Samsungs seem to be decently built, and somewhat repairable depending on what breaks.

You can get an awful lot of 40" TV under $600-700 still with the original warranty, especially if you include plasmas in your search.
