actually the everly brothers had the original version i believe. REM also did a version on one of their cd. this is my favorite song. no, i'm not old. i just like oldies. more refined then the new eninem crap.

I love the Buddy Holly movie. Amazing that such a geekish looking guy could be so cool and popular.(and I'm not just talking about from the movie, he really did look like a geek) He is one of the view who has been able to make uncoolness cool.

I saw the musical Buddy Holly Story when it came here, and it was awesome. My knowledge of Buddy Holly at that point was what I had seen on TV and in the Buddy Holly Story movie with Gary Busey.
The play was basically the movie's highlights performed onstage, and the cool thing was, all the actors in the bands played their own instruments and sang!! There was no orchestra or anything.
It was a live concert with some acting thrown in. Very cool.
