Buddhist ‘Iron Man’ found by Nazis is from space

well it's a symbol of good or purity in eastern religions. At least it WAS until the Nazi's coopted it. You can still probably find it in the homes of a lot of Indians/Asians.
Indeed. Isn't it supposed to be a representation of the sun or something like that?

LOL- expecting a crackpot article, turns out it was made from a meteorite.

Me too. Had my face palm, roll-my-eyes-at-this-moron expression all ready to go.
It was like being Rick-Rolled....I was science-rolled.

I wonder if they knew it was from a meteorite or just found it on the ground and used it.

In the fraction of a millisecond that my brain was "previewing" the title before fully processing it, I read that as "Buddhist Iron Man fights Nazis from space". I am slightly disappointed. Cool find, though.

While a Buddhist statue is nice, I kinda wish they used the meteorite to make a sword for an emperor or something.

Wrong. The Buddhist swastika spins one way, Nazi swastika is the reverse of it.

It suggests that since it was so hard and very difficult to sculpt that they likely knew something about its origin.

man, the nazis did it all. first jet fighter, first rocket, almost an A bomb, now we find out that they were conducting archeological experiments in space.

i wonder if they found the horgon. i seek jamaharon.
