I'm looking for a gift for my sister (yea I know, another one of these stupid threads) Anyway I found something I think she would like, but being the extremely cheap bastard I am, I am not going to pay 18 dollars for a single freaking bowl.

http://www.uncommongoods.com/item/item.jsp?itemId=14212

I can't seem to find anything similar to it anywhere though, im attributing this to my being a newbie, anyone wanna help me out?

When I first saw the title, I was like, "They added yet ANOTHER college football bowl game to the schedule?"

No, that's the whole point, i'm too cheap to buy a single bowl for 18 dollars, was looking for a knock off or something so I can buy like a set of 3-4 for 10 a piece or something.

I'm clueless. Why would your sister be infatuated with these bowls?

I'm sure you know her better than us, but I find nothing special about these bowls.

Are Buddha bowls a well known item in the new age movement?

I couldn't tell you, I just figured she would like her, can't quantify why. She just bought a house so i was looking for practical stuff, housewares etc etc came across these and thought o f her. too rich for my blood though

um, you're going to buy your sister ONE bowl?

QFT.

You should buy her a whole sack of buddha.

;)

Say . . . a whole sack? That's mighty expensive. At his budget he can only afford a couple of bowls of buddha.

a buddha bowl? You can find glass pieces for around $40 that are really colorful and change colors once resin from the buddha itself starts to build up.

I think your sister would really love it if you brought over some buddha as a present. Fun times.
