Wrigley increases the price of five chewing gum brands.

Chicago-based Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. plans to raise the prices of five chewing-gum brands, the company's first such increase in 16 years. In January, the company will increase the suggested retail price of Wrigley's Spearmint, Doublemint, Juicy Fruit, Big Red and Winterfresh gum brands by 5 cents.

Meanwhile, it plans to decrease the suggested retail of Extra sugar free gum by 5 cents.

Nooooo!!! Not Big Red! Way to fuck over the poor (whom I've always known to love and enjoy Big Red), Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co.!

I think the government needs to set up a billion dollar bail out package for the candy industry to keep the price of gum from going up.

QFTMFT

Once the bubblegum industy goes down, things are really going to start to blow.

My biggest concern is for their suppliers. If the big Chew goes down, so do all the peppermint and cinnamon suppliers.

This is going to make the 30's look like a day at the park.

If they were to impose a tax on everything bad for us then reading one of your posts would cost us about $5500 per sentence.

BULLFUCKINGSHIT! Those fuckers should have set up a universal dental care program years ago. They knew their product was addicting and destroyed teeth and did nothing about it. I knew you were in the pocket of Big Candy, this just confirms it.
