I'm not really impressed. I think it is impractical. It's larger, less maneuverable, likely less efficient, possibly noisier, likely considerably most complex to maintain, and most certainly way more expensive compared to the vehicles it is supposed to replace. Hey, it might be perfect for the military!

Did you notice at 1:20 that he didn't go over the curb? Did you notice at 26 and 1:26 he can't keep it straight?

Cool concept and fun toy? Sure! Practical and revolutionary? No way!

EDIT: I forgot to mention: I don't play golf, so I don't know, but I'm guessing at some point you back up a golf cart. IIRC, Hovercrafts are REALLY bad at backing up...

Cool but will never be practical because of it's cost, the cost to a CC to convert their existing fleet to a hovercart would be too high..

Plus they're not that manoeuvrable. It's like driving on ice. Be only a matter of time before some dummy lost control and ran down another golfer. Lawsuits ensue. On the other hand, it would make a fun trail vehicle. :awe:
 
You guys are crazy. Coolness trumps practicality every time. I mean would you rather drive a Ferrari that gives you 8 MPG, or a Prius that gives you 50 MPG? Obviously you would drive the former! Same thing here. I want to get all the oohs and aaahs from other people while driving through the greens with my hover cart, not some standard golf cart!
