Bubba Ho-tep

Saw it and loved it. Just don't be expecting anything like "Army of Darkness" - it's a rather low-budget and a short movie. Lots of classic one-liners from Bruce.

I really want to but nobody is playing it around here.

There is hope my friend, the DVD is supposed to be coming out in May

HELL YES.

I can't wait.

<-- Huge Bruce Campbell fan.

It was cheesey, but Bruce has a way of turning something that is totally retarded into something cool. It was hard to watch Ash old and crippled, but in the end it was a pretty decent movie.

I thought it was really good for what it was. Short, low budget, obsurd plot, but funny. Definitely worth checking out.

I saw it at the Nevermore Flim Festival here in Durham, NC. It was the only movie to ever sell out in this theatre. Cool, movie. Especially where we see Bruce Campbell play two Elvis (the real and the impersonator).

"Ask not what your rest home can do for you, but what you can do for your rest home."

BTW, the new Kill Bill, Vol. 2 trailer is out

is the plural of elvis really elvis? an irish bartender just taught me that about guiness, while the vein on his forehead was popping out.

i was expecting more from it, so i was kind of disappointed 🙁 i guess it was alright, but it just never really built up

According to Hollywood Bitchslap (Gotta love that site's title) it'll be out on May 25th. (Same day as ROTK, woot) And it'll be a well loaded disc, too!
Three Commentaries (1) Bruce Campbell & Don Coscarelli (2) Campbell & Ossie Davis (3) Elvis Presley/Deleted Scenes/Excerpts from Lansdale's novella/MUCH MORE
Umm... a novella! I must find and read that now!

The script sorta reminds me of the short story called, "Night of the Cooters." That's where Texan farmers deal with H.G. Wells's Martian invasion.
